The University of Basra organises a workshop entitled “Computer Fundamentals and Programming”

The Department of Science and Technology Gardens / Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division at the University of Basra organised a workshop entitled “Computer Fundamentals and Programming” as part of the summer camp activities.

The workshop aimed to provide participants with basic knowledge in the field of computer and programming, develop their skills in using the computer, and identify the basic concepts of programming and their importance in keeping up with technical developments and the requirements of the labour market.

The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Hisham Latif, included an introduction to the hardware and software components of the computer, operating systems, and the mechanism of the computer, in addition to explaining the basics of programming, such as algorithms, flow charts, variables, data types, and control sentences, with practical examples to simplify concepts and enhance understanding among participants.
